The highly anticipated Kanye West concert scheduled for 13 December at Ellis Park Stadium has been officially cancelled.
Monyake Group, the original promoters, confirmed the news after announcing that full control of the event had been handed over to Yeezy Production, Kanye’s own team. According to their statement, once the transfer took place, the show could no longer proceed as planned.
Ticket holders will receive full refunds through Ticketpro, the authorised ticketing partner.
The cancellation follows weeks of growing concern around the event’s rollout, with fans questioning whether the show was properly funded and organised. The promoter switch, initially seen as a possible solution — instead resulted in the entire event being scrapped.
Yeezy Production is expected to release any future updates regarding a new date, new venue, or revised plan directly through Kanye’s official channels.
For now, the Johannesburg show is off the calendar, and fans will have to wait and see whether it will be revived at a later stage.
